I've read that we have to stop increases in our pollution very soon, or face a sharply increasing risk of ruining our truly ideal climate. Anyway, I agree with Trevor Hanson's comment about peak oil too, and I really struggle to see big, Sydney- or Los Angeles-style roads in the future of an efficient, productive New Zealand.
